\u0110\u00e0 N\u1eb5ng, May 6, 2025<\/strong> \u2013 A significant milestone in enhancing the quality of Vietnam\u2019s tourism workforce was marked as IBH Hospitality Training Academy, a strategic partner of the Swiss Tourism for Sustainable Development in Vietnam (ST4SD) project, held the launch ceremony for the Swiss EHT Hospitality and Tourism Management Training Program on the afternoon of May 6, 2025. The event took place at the ICP International Convention Center \u2013 Furama Resort \u0110\u00e0 N\u1eb5ng, attended by Ms. \u0110\u1eb7ng Ph\u01b0\u01a1ng Anh<\/strong>, Manager of the Human Resource Development for Vietnam\u2019s Tourism Sector Component of the ST4SD project, along with prominent industry leaders and experts. The ceremony drew over 300 staff members from the Furama \u2013 Ariyana \u0110\u00e0 N\u1eb5ng Resort Complex.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The ST4SD project, aimed at promoting sustainable tourism in Vietnam, prioritizes building a skilled and globally competitive workforce. The Swiss EHT program, developed in collaboration with \u00c9cole H\u00f4teli\u00e8re de Lausanne (EHL) \u2013 one of the world\u2019s leading hospitality management schools \u2013 is a cornerstone of this mission. The program introduces Swiss training standards, equipping Vietnamese professionals with the skills and knowledge to excel in the dynamic tourism and hospitality sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The launch event was organized in collaboration with the Furama \u2013 Ariyana \u0110\u00e0 N\u1eb5ng Resort Complex, a major player in the region\u2019s hospitality industry. Notable attendees included Mr. Nguy\u1ec5n \u0110\u1ee9c Qu\u1ef3nh, General Director of B\u1eafc M\u1ef9 An Tourism Joint Stock Company, and Mr. Andre Piere, General Director of the Furama \u2013 Ariyana \u0110\u00e0 N\u1eb5ng Resort Complex.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Experts from IBH Academy presented a tailored training plan for the resort\u2019s staff, designed to enhance their expertise and prepare them for mid- and senior-level management roles. An interactive Q&A session allowed participants to seek clarification, with ST4SD and IBH Academy representatives providing detailed responses on the program\u2019s curriculum, training roadmap, teaching methods, and certification details.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In its pilot phase, ST4SD has partnered with four diverse training institutions across Vietnam to implement the Swiss EHT program:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • IBH Hospitality Training Academy<\/strong> (a vocational school under a private enterprise in \u0110\u00e0 N\u1eb5ng),<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Van Lang University<\/strong> (a private university in H\u1ed3 Ch\u00ed Minh City),<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Saigon Tourism College<\/strong> (a public vocational college in H\u1ed3 Ch\u00ed Minh City).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    This selection ensures diversity in regions and training models, creating a nationwide impact. Representatives from these institutions have undergone hands-on skill-building exercises guided by EHL experts and have received EHL certification, qualifying them as official trainers for the Swiss EHT program in Vietnam.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The Swiss EHT program is part of ST4SD\u2019s broader vision to strengthen Vietnam\u2019s tourism industry. Following the pilot phase, the project will expand its reach, collaborating with additional institutions and partners to deliver high-quality training.
