On June 24, 2025, the first two orientation sessions for learners of the Swiss EHT – Foundations program took place online, marking an important milestone in the program’s launch in Ho Chi Minh City.
Additionally, on June 25, 2025, the first class organized by IBH Academy for staff of the Furama Resort complex was officially held.
The program is transferred by the Swiss Sustainable Tourism for Development Project (ST4SD) under the framework of a non-refundable grant commitment of 3.6 million CHF (approximately over 101 billion VND) from the Swiss Government’s ODA funding for Vietnam’s tourism sector. All participants underwent a rigorous selection process, adhering to the program’s quality and entry standards.
Learners will undertake the Foundations level with four core modules:
- Verbal and Non-Verbal Communication
- Hygiene, Health & Sustainable Occupational Practices
- Introduction to Sustainable Hospitality Operations
- Introduction to Customer Service
In addition to online learning via an LMS platform managed by the technology center of EHL University, learners will also attend in-person sessions to explore practical applications with experienced trainers certified by EHL to deliver the Swiss EHT program.
The Swiss EHT program not only focuses on professional training but also aims to enhance the skills and professionalism of Vietnam’s tourism workforce to meet international standards, while ensuring flexibility and alignment with local practices.
