24/02/2025

QUANG NAM – As part of the Innovation Scheme for Sustainable Businesses in Vietnam’s tourism industry in 2024, the ST4SD project has decided to sponsor three businesses in Quang Nam province’s Hoi An city.

The three selected enterprises are An Farm Hoi An Business Household, Phuc Nguyen Rose Production and Business Facility, and Xu Quang Xanh Tourism and Service Co., Ltd. These businesses are committed to sustainable development, ready for innovation, and have made contributions to the community. Each business will receive a grant of up to 10,000 USD to be used for expanding operations, launching new products, or improving sustainable practices.

Besides, the project will support May Le Handicrafts Co., Ltd. (Cui Lu Driftwood Village) in expanding its network to strengthen cooperation with other sustainable tourism enterprises in the local area.

Let’s take a closer look at these three businesses and look forward to witnessing the positive impacts they will bring to Vietnam’s tourism industry!

An Farm Hoi An – Nourish soil, nourish plant, nourish huma

An Farm Hoi An specializes in growing organic herbs and medicinal plants, adhering to sustainable principles without the use of chemical fertilizers or pesticides. The farm focuses on restoring soil microorganisms and supporting the development of beneficial insects and animals. It operates year-round, restoring native plant species and developing imported herbs that are suited to local conditions.

The funding from the ST4SD project helps us enhance health experiences for visitors, improve service quality, promote and develop our brand, and share the value and application of herbs in daily life with the community.

With the support from the project, An Farm Hoi An will implement a project connecting people to nature through organic herbs and medicinal plants, creating sustainable and healthy experiences while also helping to preserve the natural environment. As a result, An Farm Hoi An aims to develop as a model of health-focused agricultural tourism.

Phuc Nguyen Rose – The beauty of Nature, the Tranquility of Life

With the desire to promote a green economy model through the indigenous kumquat tree, Phuc Nguyen Rose (located in Cam Ha commune in Quang Nam province’s Hoi An city) is developing its kumquat garden into a tourist attraction and product experience destination. The funding of the ST4SD project helps Phuc Nguyen Rose to develop the product “Hoi An Kumquat Farm Experience.” In this program, visitors can experience the process of tree care, harvesting, product processing, and enjoy drinks made from kumquats.

The project’s funding has given us more motivation on our journey to enhance the value of Cam Ha kumquat fruit, particularly in promoting sustainable agricultural tourism. Phuc Nguyen Rose aims to gradually develop and spread the model of local tourism based on the indigenous kumquat tree. As a result, the community-based tourism model in Cam Hà kumquat village will soon become a reality,”

My Quang Nieu – The Quang Nam-style claypot noodles featuring the heritage of Hoi An’s traditional villages

My Quang Nieu is a creative product that combines traditional Quang Nam province’s cuisine with its cultural values of local villages. It stands out due to its use of traditional ingredients and tools, such as clay pots, bamboo chopsticks, distinctive noodles, and herbs and vegetables from the province’s traditional villages.

Impressed by its unique product and sustainable development direction, the ST4SD project has chosen to fund the Xu Quang Xanh Tourism and Service Co., Ltd. to implement the “Claypot Noodles as Green Heritage”. This initiative will help preserve cultural values, support traditional villages, and promote sustainable tourism development in Quang Nam.

The funding of the ST4SD project not only helps us scale up but also positions the brand as a model of green culinary and sustainable tourism with community values. I will standardize the business model, expand its scope, enhance customer experiences sustainably, and create long-term value for the community while contributing to preserving Quang Nam province’s culinary culture.”
