Temporary Procurement and Logistics Officer

The Swiss Tourism for Sustainable Development project (ST4SD), implemented by CRED Tourism and Agriculture Solution Consulting Company Limited and Helvetas, promotes sustainable, inclusive, and responsible tourism as a driver of local economic development, cultural preservation, and environmental stewardship in Vietnam.

The project is structured around three core components: (i) technical support for sustainable tourism policy implementation; (ii) human resource development for the tourism sector; and (iii) sustainable product and destination development. Through these, ST4SD works with public and private stakeholders to adopt sustainable practices, strengthen local value chains, enhance workforce capacity, and ensure inclusive and equitable benefits for communities.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Procurement and Logistics Officer will play a key role in ensuring efficient, transparent, and compliant procurement processes, as well as smooth logistical and operational support for all project activities. The position will support the ST4SD team in procurement planning, vendor management, logistics coordination, and day-to-day operations, in line with project requirements and donor regulations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

·         Lead end-to-end procurement processes (planning, tendering, evaluation, contracting);

·         Ensure full compliance with Helvetas, CRED, donor (Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs), and Vietnamese regulations;

·         Maintain accurate, transparent, and auditable procurement records;

·         Manage supplier database and ensure competitive vendor selection;

·         Coordinate logistics for trainings, workshops, study tours, and field missions;

·         Arrange travel, accommodation, and transportation for staff and partners;

·         Oversee delivery and distribution of project materials and equipment;

·         Support office operations, asset and inventory management;

·         Ensure proper documentation for finance, reporting, and audits;

·         Liaise with Helvetas and CRED teams to ensure smooth operations and compliance.

 REQUIREMENTS

·         Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics/Supply Chain, Procurement, Tourism, Economics, or related fields;

·         3–5 years of relevant experience in procurement, logistics, or operations;

·         Proven experience working under donor-funded projects and compliance frameworks;

·         Strong skills in procurement processes (tendering, bidding, contract management);

·         Experience in event logistics, travel coordination, and field operations;

·         Familiarity with asset and inventory management;

·         Experience in sustainable tourism or development projects is a plus;

·         Strong coordination and stakeholder engagement skills;

·         Good command of English and Vietnamese;

·         Detail-oriented, well-organized, and able to manage multiple tasks;

·         Willingness to travel within Vietnam.
